Shatz Studio was founded by David Shatz, an industrial designer holding both B.Des. and M.Des. degrees from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. Drawing on experience as a former designer at Source Outdoor and within the defense industry, the studio specializes in the development of soft goods and complex textile products, utilizing flexible polymer materials and industrial manufacturing technologies.

Shatz Studio provides a comprehensive framework for product planning, design, and manufacturing, combining engineering expertise, material specialization, and the management of development, production, and supply chain processes. This integrated approach results in products characterized by lasting quality, durability, and a refined design language.

Bala is the outdoor furniture collection launched by the studio in the summer of 2026. The collection embodies Shatz Studio's distinctive approach to the intersection of engineering and aesthetics. Built around a unique three-dimensional weaving technique, Bala introduces a new formal language while offering exceptional comfort and durability in outdoor environments.
